“This has been an answer to our prayers,” says Kathy, who entered the Hear to Help Sweepstakes in the hope of winning a pair of hearing aids for her mother, Thelma. Thelma was diagnosed with hearing loss a number of years ago, but at the time she couldn’t justify the cost. “I noticed that in social situations, she was not able to hear. And she had a hard time understanding her grandchildren,” says Kathy. She was concerned that her mother’s hearing loss might lead to isolation. “My mother is a very social person,” she adds. “I want her to be able to enjoy social situations and share her grandchildren’s world with them.”
