What is the relationship between TruHearing and my insurance company?
TruHearing is an independent company that partners with your health insurance to provide you with low out-of-pocket costs on hearing aids. Your health plan has partnered with us because we offer you low prices on hearing aids that they wouldn’t be able to offer you on their own. They care about your health, and this is one way they are striving to offer you better healthcare coverage.
What discounts do you offer on batteries?

If I’m traveling or I move, can I still get my hearing aids repaired/serviced?
Yes. We have over 5,000 audiologists and hearing instrument specialist locations nationwide, and you can go to any one of them for checkups, adjustments, repairs, or to use your warranty. If you’re traveling, or you’ve moved, give us a call, and we’ll locate the provider closest to you.
What do I do if my hearing aid is damaged or lost?
All hearing aids purchased through TruHearing come with a three-year manufacturer warranty to cover repairs and one-time loss and damage replacement. If your hearing aid is lost or damaged, go to your TruHearing network provider. They will send your hearing aid to the manufacturer for repairs or order a new aid to replace it.
If your hearing aid needs to be replaced, the manufacturer will charge a replacement fee. Fees vary but will be between $110-195 depending on the manufacturer. There may also be a small shipping charge.
When your replacement aid arrives at the provider’s office, they will have to fit and reprogram the new aid. Expect to pay a $125 programing and fitting fee to cover the time and professional services of the provider.
What is the fee for checkups with my provider?
When you purchase hearing aids through TruHearing, you get three follow-up visits included with your purchase over the next year. At this point, you’ve most likely used one of those visits when you had your hearing aids fitted and programed. Feel free to use your other two visits within the next year free of charge. After you’ve used the three free visits, or one year has passed, routine checkups and maintenance visits with your provider may cost up to $65. However, before attending a routine checkup, check with your insurance provider. They may cover all or part of the cost of hearing aid checkups. If you have any other questions about fees for provider visits, give us a call.
